GUEST HOUSE  / COPENHAGEN

Located in the heart of Copenhagen, in a courtyard next to Marmorkirken, the Guesthouse is a renovation project converting two garages of 18 square meters into Art residency/guesthouses.

The project develops around the idea of creating two sibling houses, one facing the other by means of windows walls and the emblematic roof converted into a bespoke single pitch skylight washing the interiors of natural light.

Distributed in two floors, the spatial layout develops from a main wooden core from which all the functional spaces spread from. The interiors are described by two different treatment of the wood: light fumed oak and white washed oak creating a delicate dialogue with the heptic brick walls.
